Prohibited Traffic Sources & Marketing Practices Policy

Last updated: [27.10.2025]

This Prohibited Traffic Sources & Marketing Practices Policy (“Policy”) forms part of the [BITRIXNETWORK] Terms of Service and applies to all Affiliates, Advertisers (where relevant), and anyone using [https://bitrixnetwork.com] or the [BITRIXNETWORK] platform (the “Services”).

Our goal is to maintain a compliant, transparent, and sustainable performance marketing ecosystem in Europe only.

1) Core principle: allowed traffic must be explicit

Traffic is permitted only if it:

  • complies with applicable laws and platform rules in the relevant European countries, and
  • complies with the specific Offer rules (allowed sources, geos, creatives, claims, restrictions).

If an Offer does not explicitly allow a traffic type, it should be treated as not allowed.

2) Prohibited traffic sources (not allowed)

2.1 Illegal or non-compliant traffic

Any traffic that violates laws, regulations, or consumer protection rules, including:

  • targeting restricted audiences where prohibited (e.g., minors),
  • geo targeting outside approved European countries for the Offer,
  • any form of unlawful promotion or distribution.

2.2 Spam and unsolicited messaging

  • unsolicited email, SMS, WhatsApp/Telegram blasts, or similar,
  • purchased lists or scraped contacts,
  • deceptive opt-in flows, forced subscriptions, or unauthorized messaging.

2.3 Misleading or deceptive advertising

  • false promises, exaggerated claims, “guaranteed” results,
  • misleading pricing, hidden fees, fake scarcity, hidden terms,
  • bait-and-switch practices.

2.4 Malware, adware, or intrusive software

  • malware, spyware, adware, browser hijackers,
  • unwanted extensions or forced installs,
  • unauthorized scripts that alter user sessions.

2.5 Forced redirects, pop-under abuse, and deceptive UX

  • forced redirects and hidden redirects,
  • pop-under loops, clickjacking, deceptive overlays,
  • misleading “system alert” creatives.

2.6 Click fraud and invalid traffic (IVT)

  • bot traffic, automated clicks, emulators,
  • incentivized clicks that do not represent genuine user interest (unless explicitly allowed),
  • traffic laundering, misrepresented referrers.

2.7 Tracking manipulation and attribution fraud

Strictly prohibited:

  • cookie stuffing, pixel stuffing, hidden iframes,
  • click injection, click spamming,
  • overwriting, hijacking, or “sniping” attribution,
  • falsifying postbacks/conversion events,
  • using unauthorized tracking domains intended to obscure source or ownership.

2.8 Brand bidding and impersonation (unless explicitly allowed)

Unless an Offer explicitly permits it, Affiliates must not:

  • bid on Advertiser brand terms, trademarks, or close variants,
  • impersonate brands, operators, or official support channels,
  • use misleading domain names or social profiles that appear “official.”

2.9 Misuse of user data

  • collecting personal data without a lawful basis or required notices,
  • reselling, sharing, or publishing user data,
  • using data in ways inconsistent with applicable privacy laws.

3) Restricted traffic sources (allowed only with explicit written approval)

The following may be allowed only if:

  • the Offer explicitly allows it, and
  • [BITRIXNETWORK] provides prior written approval (or the Offer card states approval is not required).
  • Incentivized traffic / rewards programs
  • Toolbar traffic
  • Push notifications
  • In-app / SDK-based traffic
  • Adult content websites (generally restricted; often not allowed)
  • “Coupon/deal” traffic for selected e-commerce offers only
  • Email marketing (only to consented lists; must comply with local laws and Offer rules)

4) Creative and messaging standards

Affiliates and Advertisers must ensure:

  • creatives are truthful, clear, and not misleading,
  • material terms are presented fairly (where applicable),
  • landing pages match ad claims,
  • required disclaimers are used where the Offer requires them,
  • no use of fake endorsements, fake reviews, or fabricated authority badges.

5) iGaming / regulated verticals: enhanced restrictions

For Gambling & iGaming and any regulated vertical:

  • availability depends on country-specific regulations;
  • stricter geo rules, age restrictions, and creatives rules may apply;
  • only approved sources may be allowed;
  • violations may result in immediate suspension.

6) Monitoring, enforcement, and consequences

We maintain an anti-fraud layer and continuous monitoring to protect the integrity of the network.

If we detect or reasonably suspect prohibited traffic or practices, we may:

  • suspend or terminate accounts,
  • block traffic sources or campaigns,
  • withhold or reverse commissions linked to invalid activity (where permitted by law),
  • request clarification or evidence of compliance,
  • notify affected parties (e.g., Advertisers) where appropriate.

7) Reporting concerns

If you believe a traffic source, creative, or Offer violates this Policy, please contact us via [Website]/contact and select the appropriate category.

8) Updates to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
